Among Us VR Reveals How It’s Practically a Sequel to the 2020 Megahit
A brand-new trailer showcased Among Us VR’s gameplay, revealing an experience that feels in many ways wildly different from the game that became a megahit in 2020. The stealth, backstabbing, and outright lying are all still there, but negotiations are much more than a text box – now you’re actually at the table. The VR changes basically everything, from the basic tasks to the jolt of fear when you turn and find another crewmember just… staring at you. It remains to be seen if these updates will actually work well in the final version, but at first blush, Among Us VR feels almost like a full-blown sequel. It’s currently scheduled for a release in Holiday 2022 on Meta Quest and PC VR devices.
